Installing a stove when there is not an existing fireplace or flue
When there is not an existing flue stoves are installed using a twin wall metal flue system.
Twin Wall Flue Metal flues can be installed either internally through the house or they can exit thorugh a wall and travel up the outside of the house.
A hearth is still required and must extend 150mm to the back and sides and 225mm in front of the stove.
If the flue passes through a room above the appliance it must be boxed in to prevent any contact with the flue.
The stainless steel finish can be powder coated in any colour to match in with the property.
The stove and flue can have a chimney breast build around them to give the illusions of an existing chimney breast and fireplace.
